‘Through the air’
My works generally relate to topics exposing a relationship between human beings and society as a whole.
I’m interested in creating work that provokes a dialog
Art as a dialog with humanity, not telling or asking, just communicating.
The flying plane in the sky…
... to move through the air
The ‘Through the air’ series, is about beauty in simplicity and thinking laterally on a visual format.
These planes on the sky are about letting the viewer think laterally while presented with a simple uncluttered image.
The image is only used to transport the viewer to a different space that can be as individual as the person who sees it.
Is about seeing the image, letting your own thoughts to wonder, not really looking for a meaning, or high significance.
Is about the simplicity and aiming to let the viewer enjoy a more lateral approach to artwork.
As a viewer you may ask, what does this mean?
Where this was taken, what is the context, or the value I’m presented with?
You see this and then you tell yourself what is it that you are looking, while wondering if that is what it was supposed to be thinking of a meaning.
In case you wonder, yes these images are more than just retinal art, but using the photography as a medium to communicate something else that what is depicted in it.
Reaching to each individual in a personal way.
As an artist I can’t get to each person perspective, I can only present this media as means of communication.
This images can only be what you can see in them, and are for you to enjoy.
For many years I been using metaphors, creating a value structure making it rigid to the receiver.
But the viewer doesn't need to know me or my value structure to get the basic idea, and he or she can have their own logic structure, and thus create their own value structure.
If you like something, you don't have to understand it, just enjoy it, pure and simple.
