Collaborative multimedia installation with Sarah Garrod for Camaradas 2018 exhibition.
Title of the joint work
“Murmullos”
The full scope of work is an installation created from photographs, sketches, drawings, text and audio; the work spans 1.4 metres wide by a metre high and hangs on a wall like a regular painting or a collage.
The photographs and figurative drawings to represent history and social concerns as well as questions about reality itself. The images are joined with lines and text, linking the global concerns. The red strings represent the living, breathing, ‘arterial’ links between the nations.
We use invisible ink to write text that can only be revealed with an ultraviolet (UV) light torch, which will be available at the exhibition for the viewer to interact with the installation.
A small speaker within the art work, will expose voices quietly whispering fragments of poems and sentences that we have written.
