This fictional apparatus “Love machine” is presented here in a blueprint format, displaying the main media platforms that influence our everyday life in contemporary times at the base of the device.
The foundation of the structure is modelled around the infamous electric chair that was a method of execution originated in (and almost exclusively employed in) the United States which has long been a symbol of the death penalty there. With the addition of virtual reality goggles to complete a fully immerse sense of absence from real life. At the top an apple logo stands proud of the manufacturing and design ownership.
The text that describe the part as well as the function is mean to be a satirical view on the addiction to social media and electronic information. intending to highlight our dependency in technological devices. While maintaining a humoristic view of the whole dependency on machines.
